‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 16, titled “Moo Moo,” is set to take on the issue of racial profiling when Terry is stopped by another police officer in his own neighborhood during his day off. The episode will also follow Jake and Amy as they babysit Terry’s children.
The synopsis for “Moo Moo” posted on TV Guide reads, “Terry (Terry Crews) wants to file an official complaint against a police officer who stopped Sgt. Jeffords while he was off-duty in his own neighborhood, but Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher) has other ideas.
Meanwhile, Jake (Andy Samberg) and Amy (Melissa Fumero) get a glimpse into the difficulties of parenthood and answer some tough questions when they babysit Terry's kids.”
It seems that Terry will take matters into his own hands when he is stopped by another police officer (guest star Desmond Harrington) during his off-duty day in his own neighborhood. He will then file a complaint against this fellow police officer but it seems that Captain Holt will warn him that doing so would cause trouble and tension within the department.
According to People.com, the upcoming installment is set to tackle the issue of racial profiling. During an interview, actor Terry Crews explained, “One good reason we needed to tackle [racial profiling] is so that Brooklyn Nine-Nine didn’t become a cartoon.”
Co-star Andre Braugher also teased, “Terry gets held by a police officer who’s convinced that because he’s a large black man that he doesn’t belong in the neighborhood.”
The series’ co-creator and executive producer Dan Goor added, “It was difficult for us to figure out a way into that issue because our guys are the cops and we’ve done as much as we can to portray a vision of the cops that is a positive vision and a vision of the cops that gets along with its community. It was very hard to figure out how to represent that story in a way that was fair to the cops and also to the community.”
Meanwhile, Jake and Amy will be babysitting Terry’s children in the upcoming episode. The two will eventually realize the real difficulties of parenthood. They will also answer some challenging questions while doing so.
‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 4’s episode 16, titled “Moo Moo,” is scheduled to be released on Fox on May 2, 2017. It was written by Phil Augusta Jackson. It will be followed by episode 17, titled "Cop-Con," scheduled to be released on May 9.
