CBD DAILY DOSAGE: DETERMINING HOW MUCH TO TAKE EVERYDAY

Whether you’re just using CBD for the first time, or you’re a frequent user, one thing you’ll find most confusing is the amount of CBD to take.

Naturally, all drugs come with a specified dosing guideline. But not CBD!

As of now, neither the U.S. Food and Drug Administration nor any reputable body has recommendations on the amount of CBD to take. Because of that, users are always unsure of the right dosage to take.

Why should you be worried about CBD dosage?

Because taking too much of the substance can cause you to experience some side effects like drowsiness, upset stomach, lethargy, nausea, diarrhea, and other unpleasant, disorienting side effects. That’s according to the World Health Organization.

Taking too little is also not good because you risk not getting the results you desire.

So you see, knowing the exact amount of CBD you need to take before you use it is absolutely important.

How much CBD should you take per day?

Well, the answer depends on your weight! When you buy CBD from any reputable vendor like Gold Bee’s CBD products, you’ll notice an outline of CBD dosage vs. users’ weight. This is telling you the right dosage for every user’s weight.

But from a general point of view, it’s believed that between 1 and 5 mg of CBD is perfect for every 10 lbs of body weight. In practice, that would mean that if you weigh 150 lbs, you could take anything between 15 and 75 mg daily.

While the table above is quite useful, it only gives us a glimpse into the best dosage range. It doesn’t give you an actual “number” to follow.

For example, if you weigh 250 lbs, the table says you can take anything between 25 mg and 125 mg. But anything between 25 mg and 125 mg could be 50 mg, 75 mg, 110 mg, etc.

I’m sure you’re curious to get a specific dosage guideline that tells you something like “take 10 mg thrice per day anytime you’re feeling stressed and uneasy”.

Sorry to burst your bubble, you can’t get that here. Reason being that lots of factors can affect your CBD dosage.

Factors like age, sex, the reason you're taking it, your metabolic rate (how quickly you metabolize compounds), and the quality of the product.

The only way you can get an exact dosage guideline is by speaking with your doctor. Since he or she understands your body, they’ll be able to specify correctly the right amount that fits your body system.

How to measure out the right dosage

Let's assume you now have an idea of the exact amount of CBD to take, how do you draw this dosage out?

If gummies or capsules, you can easily check the labeling on the pack. And then use that to gauge out your dosage.

For example, gummies can come in a bag containing twenty pieces of 5-or-10 mg gummies. In this kind of case, if your target dosage is 25 mg per day, you know that all you need to do is eat five 5 mg gummies or two 10 mg and one 5 mg.

The same thing applies to capsules.

The only challenging one is oil and sprays. And that’s because it’s hard to quantify their amount. For example, CBD oils come in dropper bottles. So, to draw out the oil, users have to make use of the dropper – a tool that isn’t calibrated.

Note: A dropper bottle is a container with a dropper-fitted cap.

So, how do you quantify your dosage with oils and sprays?

The answer is simple: YOU GOTTA DO SOME SIMPLE MATH

Calculating the amount of CBD to use from a CBD Oil or Spray bottle

It is scientifically proven that each drop of liquid from any dropper is always around 0.05 ml.

Let’s say your CBD oil bottle is a 20 ml bottle; that would mean the bottle contains approximately 400 drops.

Additionally, let’s say there is 900 mg of CBD in the 20 ml bottle. That would mean there is 900 mg of CBD available in 400 drops.

If that be the case, how much CBD (in mg) is then available in one drop? 2.25 mg of CBD/drop!

Someone might ask, "How did you come up with that"? It is basic math, my friend.

Since one drop contains 2.25 mg of CBD. If your weight and doctor say you need 22.5 mg of CBD per day; that would mean you have to take 10 drops every day.

What if you don’t get the results you expect?

You’ll always get your expected results from CBD. Of that, I’m very sure. It’s a tested and proven compound.

The only condition where you won’t get your expected results with CBD is if:

  • You’ve bought a compromised CBD product

  • You’ve not followed our dosage guideline and your doctor’s prescription

  • You didn’t calculate your dosage of oil drops properly

  • CBD isn’t effective for the condition you’re using it for
