CJ CheilJedang, a leading food company in South Korea, revealed on Tuesday, March 19, that it had joined the 2024 Natural Products Expo West held in Anaheim, California, last week. This is the 42nd year that the expo was organized, and it has never failed to attract thousands of participants and visitors every year.
According to The Korea Herald, this food expo is the world's largest trade event in the food sector. This year, it attracted about 3,000 companies and more or less 60,000 visitors during its five-day run, which ended on Saturday, March 16.
CJ CheilJedang’s Food Booth
At the expo, South Korean food manufacturers displayed their products. Since this year's event focuses on health and wellness, the company showcased its latest food innovations and various nutritional supplements. Moreover, CJ CheilJedang designed its booth with the theme of fermentation technology and environmentally friendly ingredients.
The company especially highlighted its Bibigo products at the expo. Visitors could see its kimchi products and popular K-sauces such as gochujang. The brand's seaweed snack line was also shown in the exhibit.
Delighted by the products, one of the visitors even commented, "It is impressive that deep flavors derive naturally from the ingredients without the use of artificial sweeteners."
CJ CheilJedang's executive from its business unit, Lee Seong Hwa, also said, "Korean food is gaining global attention for its healthy image. We will strive to accelerate the globalization of domestic food with innovative products that enhance health and wellness competitiveness through differentiated technology."
CJ CheilJedang Debuts Seasoned Gourmet Sobaba Chicken
Meanwhile, CJ Cheiljedang also launched a new product this week. The company said it will release two variants of seasoned Gourmet Sobaba Chicken. This frozen fried chicken product has become very popular in the country. Pulse News reported that CJ CheilJedang will debut the seasoned frozen chicken, which will be available in boneless or chicken wings.
