Call of Duty: World War II is supposed to be the reinvention of the FPS franchise that fans are clamoring for and with regards to the main game, it seems things are going just fine. However, a recently leaked sample of the zombie mode that inevitably accompanies every COD game has given fans and developers cause for disappointment. Fans because the mode seemed terrible and the developers because of the leak.
To be fair, Sledgehammer was set to reveal the zombie game mode during the San Diego Comic Con event, SlashGear reports. So it wasn’t as if fans had to wait that long to get a proper taste of the new ways that they can blast undead heads in the game.
Unfortunately, the leaks had some rather unfortunate effects that undid some of the efforts by the developers, which took years of their lives to build. For one thing, the surprise and elation from the reveal during the event is gone, replaced by premature disappointments among gamers. What’s worse is that the leaked footage was not even finished, Gamespot reports.
As a result, Sledgehammer is urging gamers to wait for the final product, which will be revealed during the event instead of the leaked video. The developers have also expressed their feelings of resentment that the trailer they were making was not the first that players got to see. Glen Schofield, one of the founders of the studio took to Twitter to vent his frustration on the audacity of the leakers.
You spend almost three years on something & with 5 days until reveal some &$#%}!! leaks our trailer. Bummed, disappointed.

“You spend almost three years on something & with 5 days until reveal some &$#%}!! leaks our trailer. Bummed, disappointed,” the Tweet reads.
With regards to the leaked video itself, resourceful readers can search for the clip themselves. However, Sledgehammer is emphatically urging true fans of the series to not watch the leaked footage and instead wait for the official trailer.
