Jerry Brown's 2016 – 2017 budget proposal that includes $10 million for precision medicine research. California is the birthplace of biotechnology and today the state's life sciences sector employs over 281,000 people working to develop innovative new medicines, technologies and therapies needed to treat and cure patients.
