February 28, TOLEDO, OH - A local cannabis business specializing in industrial hemp based products continues to win the hearts of Toledoans and is now winning awards. Toledo Hemp Center was just named the Best Holistic Health Center in the Toledo area by the Toledo City Paper.
Toledo Hemp Center, established in late 2013, is located at 815 Phillips Ave. Over the past 4+ years the popular business has continuously been recognized for its community involvement. The Center proudly provides crucial education about the many benefits of industrial hemp, including its superb nutritional value. Toledo Hemp Center will receive their accolades in a ceremony on March 2. The Center was lauded as a runner-up in this competition in 2016.
The Center has continuously shown its true colors as their supporters have worked diligently over the past 4+ years through high-value community projects, including blanket drives for Toledo's homeless and helping to orchestrate seven different cookouts helping to raise awareness for hungry children. The Center has inspired other local businesses
and introduced nutritional food products to retailers and restaurateurs. Toledo area citizens can now enjoy hemp crust pizzas, hemp coffee and hemp chili.
“This has been one of our more exciting accomplishments, being recognized as the Best Holistic Health Center in the Toledo area," Toledo Hemp Center owner Kevin Spitler proudly stated. “It is a true honor to be recognized by a non cannabis based publication. This is the first time I have seen a cannabis based business get recognized by a general public publication in the Toledo area.”
Mr. Spitler was inspired to start the Center by his own mother’s fight with cancer. "We operate a 'grandma approved' hemp retail store with wholesale prices," Spitler said, adding, "Florida may be next!"
