‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 22, titled “White Butterflies,” will follow Dr. Rhodes as he challenges Dr. Charles on his daughter Robin’s treatment plan. Actress Mekia Cox, who plays Robin in the series, teased that the next few episodes will be “interesting” ones.
The lengthy synopsis for “White Butterflies” posted on TV Guide reads, “Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) issues a challenge to Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) and the other staff over treatment of a patient. Also: Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) seeks help from a detective when a case involving a young girl turns into a crime;
Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) and April (Yaya DaCosta) team up on a conflicting case; Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) helps a friend in distress; and the identity of the new med resident is revealed.”
The upcoming episode is set to feature a clash between Dr. Connor Rhodes and Dr. Daniel Charles as they try and figure out the best way to treat Charles’ daughter, Robin (guest star Mekia Cox), who has also formed a romantic bond with Rhodes.
During an interview with Fansided’s One Chicago Center, Cox teased that the subsequent episode will be “quite interesting” for the characters of the medical drama series. Cox said, “There’s a part of me that didn’t know or want to know what was actually happening so that I could really feel like the character… Especially for her, someone who’s always so on top of it, who’s kind of always been sort of right.”
The actress continued, “I think it’s very disorienting for her… She doesn’t really know what’s going on, but she still has this need to be in control, so she still feels like she’s in control.”
According to Cartermatt, Rhodes and Charles are set to face their biggest dilemma yet as they disagree on the best treatment plan for Robin. It is clear that the two doctors’ deep and personal connection will Robin will pose a difficult challenge.
‘Chicago Med’ season 2’s episode 22, titled “White Butterflies,” is scheduled to air on NBC on May 4, 2017. It will be followed by episode 23, titled “Love Hurts,” scheduled to be released on May 11.
