BELLEVUE, Wash. and SAN JOSE, Calif., March 06, 2018 -- Coding Dojo, a premier coding school for aspiring software developers, today released results of a graduate study demonstrating that its curriculum transforms lives for students of all backgrounds. Specifically, it found that for students with a high school degree or equivalent, salaries more than doubled immediately after graduating from Coding Dojo. The majority of Coding Dojo graduates (70 percent) already had a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree when enrolling. Even with this strong educational background, after graduating from Coding Dojo these students were able to increase salaries by an average of 58 percent.

The study analyzed Coding Dojo’s student body by formal education level and included the percent salary increase from their most recently held job prior to starting the program to their first tech position after graduation.
High School Diploma or GED:
- 21 percent of Coding Dojo graduates had a high school diploma or GED when starting the program, in comparison with 26 percent of all Americans 25 or older according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
- They experienced 117 percent salary growth from their prior job to their new career after graduating from Coding Dojo.
Associate’s:
- 9 percent of Coding Dojo graduates began with an associate’s degree.
- They experienced 53 percent salary growth right after graduating from Coding Dojo.
Bachelor’s:
- 60 percent of Coding Dojo graduates began with a bachelor’s degree, in comparison with 21 percent of all Americans 25 or older according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
- They experienced 67 percent salary growth immediately after graduating from Coding Dojo.
Post-Graduate
- 10 percent of Coding Dojo graduates began with a master’s or doctorate degree, in line with the 11 percent of all Americans 25 or older that have a master’s or doctorate according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
- These Coding Dojo graduates have doctorates in medicine, law and more.
- Even with this level of formal education, these students experienced 49 percent salary growth right after graduating from Coding Dojo.
