WASHINGTON, Nov. 21, 2017 -- Leading global commercial real estate services firm Colliers International Group Inc. was awarded the 2017 NAIOP Northern Virginia Award of Merit for the Real Estate Transaction Sale of the Route 28 Flex Portfolio.
The Award was accepted by Colliers International Executive Vice President David Gast, a member of the company’s Capital Markets team. Gast represented Buchanan Partners in the purchase of the Route 28 South Flex Portfolio purchased from Ares Management LLC. The 14-building purchase totals 706,000 square feet and includes Albemarle Point, Dulles Business Park and Dulles South IV for a final price just over $81 million.
“This is an extraordinary real estate deal. While the portfolio was not openly marketed, the transaction occurred because of David’s creativity and market knowledge,” said Colliers International Managing Director David W. Parker. “He created an opportunity for both the buyer and the seller where one did not necessarily exist.”
A well-known and respected advisor, Gast has closed more than 730 transactions in his career.
“Earning a recognition of this caliber is a testament to Colliers’ core values and creative spirit,” said Marty Pupil, Colliers President | U.S. Brokerage. “Colliers is the place where entrepreneurial people choose to make a difference and accelerate the success of their clients.”
