Gaming fans are just a few days away from finally getting their hands on “Devil May Cry 5” but Capcom still has more surprises in store. For one, it was recently revealed the game’s Deluxe Edition is worth buying for one particular exclusive feature.
Earlier this week, Capcom revealed the remaining trailers for “Devil May Cry 5” including a teaser specifically for players who pre-ordered the game’s Deluxe Edition. The promo video confirms that they will have the option to use live action cutscenes instead of the in-game cinematics when playing the game.
The same video shows the kind of live-action cutscenes they will see in the “Devil May Cry 5” Deluxe Edition. These scenes are called “pre-viz” or previsualization where actors play out the characters’ movements based on the game writers’ storyboard.
This means these live-action contents are practically the behind-the-scenes actions that helped developers and animators complete the “Devil May Cry 5” in-game cinematics. Meanwhile, the promo video indicates that this exclusive option will only be available during cutscenes and not when players are in combat.
Buying the “Devil May Cry 5” Deluxe Edition has other perks. Players are getting an exclusive 100,000 Red Orbs or the in-game microtransaction currency. It also comes with the Battle Track composed of 12 battle music options -- three each from the first to the fourth “Devil May Cry” titles.
The “Devil May Cry 5” Deluxe Edition also includes five upgraded weapons, though, not all can give players combat advantages. For example, the Gerbera GP01 is equipped with shockwaves firing from all five fingers that players can control during battles on the ground or up in the air. However, the Pasta Breaker, as its name suggests, can be identified with steel forks and pasta spoon but admittedly “not particularly useful in battle.”
Players still have time to pre-order the “Devil May Cry 5” Deluxe Edition. The game’s official release date is on Friday, March 8. Luckily, Capcom released a detailed list of schedules when the game is going live so players can also plan when to preload the game.
