A spokesperson for Google responded to the accusations, explaining that the company’s systems have protections against Autocomplete predictions related to political violence. The spokesperson noted that manual actions were taken to ensure these predictions did not promote harmful content. Google emphasized that while Autocomplete is designed to save time, users can still search for any information they seek. The company assured that they are working on improvements to keep their systems updated and continue providing high-quality information to users.
