Considering the state of the political climate, it is no surprise many may question the mental state of President Donald Trump. His latest campaign rally may have added to the concerns regarding his mental health.
Trump is currently on the campaign trail for his reelection in the upcoming general elections in November. So it comes as to no surprise that he is actively pursuing his campaign rallies, stirring up the crowd the only way he seems to know, which is inciting hatred towards many things and airing his complaints about things today. Politicalflare reports that his latest campaign may leave others wondering about whether or not he is okay in the head.
The President started off by joking that he has more years to go in office, all the while airing his concerns regarding the South Korean film Parasite taking home the Best Picture award in the recent Academy Awards - among many other accolades - as well as getting his supporters to boo climate change activist Greta Thunberg, as well as not winning Time Magazine Man of the Year.
According to Vox’s Aaron Rupar, who shared clips of Trump’s campaign rally on Twitter, “We’re staring into the abyss” regarding what transpired during his rally. Those odd moments may contain the hope that people will be aware of how much is at stake during the 2020 Elections in November.
Meanwhile, Trump recently ordered the dismissal of Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire, with US Ambassador to Germany and known pro-Trump loyalist Richard Grenell taking his place as acting chief. Although Grenell is known for being Pro-Trump, Politico reveals that before the real estate mogul was sworn in as President, Grenell was a Trump critic, and constantly spoke against him in favor of another candidate, John Kasich.
Grenell was vocal about his opinions regarding Trump on Twitter during this time, and although the tweets are now deleted, Politico has obtained the said tweets, in which Grenell called Trump “dangerous” as well as reckless. This seems to highlight the irony that some of Trump’s very outspoken critics have now become pro-Trumpers, such as Mike Pompeo, Lindsey Graham, and Mick Mulvaney. However, the reverse effect has also occurred, with a number of Pro-Trumpers becoming critics of the President.
