There have been many instances where President Donald Trump’s health is questioned. Now it seems that the state of his mental health is causing speculations, especially after his pre-Super Bowl interview.
Donald Trump is one of the most heavily scrutinized people in the world, and it is understandably so because of his very controversial remarks and opinions. One aspect of the president that also falls under heavy scrutiny is the status of his health, which has since drawn a lot of speculations from the public. Politicalflare reports that now it is his mental health being placed under the proverbial microscope, as his pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity has left everyone wondering.
During his interview, where he ranted about the impeachment trial, showed pessimism towards wanting to work together with Democrats, Trump also targeted many of his rivals with insults and names after Hannity asked him for quick opinions regarding the candidates. When it came to senator Bernie Sanders, Trump labeled him as a communist but changed his mind and instead labeled him as a Socialist after Hannity pointed out that Sanders went to Russia with his wife on their honeymoon.
However, what brought on the speculations was Trump’s comments on sports following those remarks. Hannity asked the President about the importance of sports, to which Trump replied, “You have people that you expect to see that final play...you have people that you expect more out of, and oftentimes they produce. Then you have people that you just don’t expect they’re gonna do it, and oftentimes they don’t.”
Naturally, people on social media criticized the President and his manner of talking about sports. One commenter suggested that Trump may have suffered from a concussion, while others questioned how mentally capable he is as a President.
That is not the only thing Trump is being criticized for. Shortly after the Super Bowl, the President took to Twitter to congratulate the Kansas City Chiefs for becoming the Super Bowl winners. However, Trump made a huge error as he wrote the wrong state. He tweeted, “Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game and a fantastic comeback under immense pressure. We are proud of you and the great state of Missouri. You are true Champions!”
People were quick to mock him in the replies, as well as call him an embarrassment within the country just aside from internationally.
