Donald Trump mentioned his youngest son, Barron Trump, during his recent coronavirus update.
During his speech, the POTUS claimed that there is still hope for Americans to rise above the deadly virus in the next couple of weeks. Trump also confirmed that the phase one trails for the coronavirus vaccines are already underway.
The president was then asked a series of questions by the journalists present at the press conference. One of the reporters asked the POTUS if he has spoken to Barron about the pandemic.
Melania Trump’s husband said that he has, and Trump told Barron that things are bad. According to Political Flare, this was one of the few moments wherein the POTUS acknowledged the fact that he has a son at the White House.
In 2005, Trump spoke with Larry King on CNN where he opened up about having a child with the FLOTUS. He said that he’s open to the idea but there’s a huge possibility that he won’t be able to see his child. The remark may have to do with the fact that Trump used to be a very busy businessman.
Meanwhile, the POTUS once again sparked speculations that he’s unwell. During his recent press conference, the president spoke in a monotone voice that lacked any passion. Since he was reading his speech from a piece of paper, Trump struggled to pause and breathe in between his sentences.
Photos and videos of the president also showed that he has a scowl on his face. In fact, his facial expression almost seemed as though he was pouting while giving the nation an update regarding the deadly coronavirus.
At one point, he was asked about his previous statement on the coronavirus being in tremendous control when it wasn’t.
“You said this was under tremendous control. Do you want to revisit that statement?” a reporter asked.
“When I’m talking about control, I am saying we are doing a very good job within the confines of what we’re dealing with,” Trump replied.
