Bandai Namco recently announced it is adding Cooler to the “Dragon Ball FighterZ” video game via a DLC arriving in September. Cooler follows the latest addition of Base Goku and Base Vegeta.
“Dragon Ball FighterZ” is one of the latest video games based on the popular Japanese anime series. Like most of the earlier titles, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” is a fighting game but in a 2.5-dimensional format. It is developed by Arc System Works and published by Bandai Namco. The game came out last January so fans can expect more cool characters to be added to the roster in the coming months.
For this month, “Dragon Ball FighterZ” DLC #3 featured Base Goku and Base Vegeta, which both went live last Wednesday. Days before they arrived in the game, Bandai Namco released one final trailer of the characters’ gameplay during the EVO 2018 last week.
However, the said trailer also included a sweet surprise announcement that Cooler is going to be the next DLC character in “Dragon Ball FighterZ.” The same video teaser has ample gameplay preview where Cooler is seen wrecking Goku.
Cooler is one of the popular villains ever introduced in the “Dragon Ball” franchise, not to be confused with his younger brother and fusee Frieza. Gameplay details about Cooler in “Dragon Ball FighterZ” are still unknown. But this is not the first time he joins a video game. In earlier titles, he featured powers and attacks such as the Death Ball ki and Super Nova.
The official trailer for Cooler’s addition in “Dragon Ball FighterZ” did not mention a specific release date for his own DLC. However, reports like Gematsu indicates that Cooler goes live on Sept. 28 in North America and Europe.
“Dragon Ball FighterZ” is currently available on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Meanwhile, a Nintendo Switch port has also been confirmed, with the same release date, Sept. 28.
