The evil Saiyan, Kanba, just unleashed a devastating power in “Dragon Ball Heroes'” last promotional episode, which has left fans wanting more.
“Dragon Ball Heroes” was supposed to be a two-episode run as a promotional adaptation of the “Dragon Ball Heroes” game available in arcades and on the Nintendo DS. The first episode was so well received that a teaser for a third episode was included in the second episodes ending.
The game itself is a Trading Card Game with players focused on collecting characters and battling them with the collections of other people. “Dragon Ball Heroes” was also adapted into a manga series back in 2012.
The series' first episode starts off with Goku and Vegeta receiving a quest to rescue future Trunks from a violent place called the Prison Planet. The pair is informed that the Prison Planet is a place where mighty heroes are forced to fight one another and is inescapable until one has collected a set of dragon balls. The nature of the Prison Planet seems to be the original “Dragon Ball Heroes” game's excuse to have the myriad characters of the Dragon Ball universe fighting each other.
"Dragon Ball Heroes'" second episode introduces us to Kanba, the evil Saiyan, who escapes from the prison created for him by Fu, one of the other new characters introduced in the first episode of the series. After escaping from his prison, Kanba is faced by Goku and Vegeta. Kanba proceeds to use his power to drive Goku mad. Vegeta now finds himself facing the berserk Goku but is thankfully helped through the intervention of Trunks and Cooler.
The second episode's selling point for fans was the moment when Kanba is finally faced by a combined Vegito, with no end to the fight in sight for what was supposed to be the final episode of the promotional release. Fans who just can't get enough of that final showdown cut short can probably check out the “Dragon Ball Heroes” game itself to get some fights on.
The third promotional release episode of “Dragon Ball Heroes” is confirmed to air in September.
