Drake is not well and very sick so he had to cancel most of his upcoming performances. The rapper is currently on tour in his “Aubrey and the Three Amigos” concert series but he had to postpone his performances that were scheduled for Miami.
It was a short notice for the concertgoers and Drake obviously felt bad about the cancellation. In an effort to make it up to the fans, he posted a message on Instagram Story on Sunday. He apologized first and went on to explain what happened.
Part of his note reads: “I just wanted to say how sorry I am about these two Miami shows. I got so ill so fast and I had never experienced anything like that in my life,”
He added, “Unlike other show cancellations or date adjustments due to production issues this one fell on me. Thank you to the two doctors and nurse that helped me with ’round the clock care. Miami deserves 100 percent and I promise that experience when we return.”
According to Radar Online, on Friday, Drake suddenly felt ill and collapsed on stage while rehearsing for his show at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The “In My Feelings” rapper was rushed to the hospital and could not return to perform.
As can be seen in Drake’s post, he did not disclose what caused him to be brought to the hospital and there was no news as to what kind of illness he has to deal with. It could be serious enough for him to require round-the-clock care and being attended to by doctors and nurses.
NBC’s affiliate news outlet WJAC reported that the canceled shows in Miami were moved to Nov. 13 and 14. Meanwhile, his gigs in New Orleans and Dallas scheduled for later this month will proceed as planned.
