Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are slowly developing a reputation for flipping houses. Their latest endeavor in this venture is the selling of their Montecito home for $34 million, Domain reported.
The Tuscan-style house was designed by the talented Wallace Frost and sits on a 16.88-acre land. The retreat boasts six bedrooms, nine fireplaces, a tennis court, a pool and a guest house with stone walls and terracotta surfaces.
While gossip media will undoubtedly turn this story into a divorce speculation, fans of Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi shouldn’t worry as this sale was not caused by any friction between the couple. In fact, their relationship has been as solid as ever.
The celebrity duo was buffeted by false divorce stories when they decided to tie the knot back in 2008. And with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi now approaching their anniversary this August, there’s no doubt that a host of rumors will be spread by magazines.
But the couple doesn’t care. As for Ellen DeGeneres, the popular TV host is too busy with her career and the wildlife conservation she is currently involved in to pay attention to any of the rumors spread by gossip magazines and tabloids.
There has been a lot of news about the two lately, what with their anniversary approaching. Reports about Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi calling it quits have been centered around supposed heightened fights, adoption issues, and third-party involvement.
But all of them are flat out wrong and even ridiculously insensitive. For instance, National Enquirer wrote in June that Portia de Rossi was left “humiliated” after Ellen DeGeneres supposedly walked out of her life. However, similar to all gossip outlets, the magazine did not offer any evidence that this was the case, instead citing questionable sources that the publication refused to name.
