Estrella Galicia 0,0, the Spanish brewery, has once again solidified its collaboration with the McLaren Formula 1 (F1) motor racing team. After joining forces in 2019 and 2020, the two parties reunited in a multi-year deal.
The partnership, according to Sportscal, will see the prominent Estrella Galicia branding featured on the McLaren F1's 2024 car and the overalls and team kit of drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Long-Standing Relationship
Blackbook Motorsports noted that Estrella Galicia 0,0 first partnered with the McLaren Formula One team in 2019 and 2020 through its association with Spanish driver Carlos Sainz. When Sainz moved to Ferrari, the Spanish beer brand followed suit and ventured with him to Maranello. This reunion between McLaren and Estrella Galicia 0,0 signifies a strategic sponsorship shift for Ferrari, as they are set to collaborate with Peroni for the upcoming 2024 season.
José Cabanas, chief marketing officer of Estrella Galicia, expressed the significance of strong partnerships in their internationalization process. Recognizing the importance of great allies, Cabanas believes they play a pivotal role in achieving success. Building on their previous successful collaboration, Estrella Galicia is thrilled to be part of the McLaren Racing family again.
In a parallel move, the renowned Spanish brewery also secured a multi-year agreement with Dorna Sports, the commercial rights holder of motorcycling's prestigious MotoGP World Championship, starting in 2023. Notably, over half of the current 22 MotoGP riders have enjoyed the support of Estrella Galicia 0,0 at some point in their racing careers. This association further reinforces Estrella Galicia's commitment to the world of motorsports.
Matt Dennington, executive director for partnerships and accelerator at McLaren Racing, expressed his delight in welcoming Estrella Galicia back to the McLaren Racing family. Dennington acknowledged their fantastic collaboration in 2019 and 2020 and emphasized the excitement of continuing their journey together.
With Estrella Galicia by their side, McLaren Racing looks forward to a successful upcoming season fueled by positive momentum.
Stellar Commercial Portfolio
McLaren F1 boasts an extensive commercial portfolio featuring prominent brands such as OKX, Cisco, DP World, Dell Technologies, Monster Energy, Unilever, Goldman Sachs, Coca-Cola, Castore, and Richard Mille. These partnerships exemplify McLaren's commitment to aligning with leading companies across various industries.
The 2024 F1 season is set to be extraordinary, with a record-breaking 24 races on the calendar. McLaren F1, supported by Estrella Galicia 0,0 and their enthusiastic partners, is eager to build upon the success and positive momentum attained in the previous year. As they gear up for the challenges and excitement that lie ahead, McLaren Racing is thrilled to go racing with the support of Estrella Galicia.
