Extra Space Storage Inc. will pay a $1.62 dividend per common share Dec. 31, keeping the quarterly rate level and setting the next cash distribution for shareholders.
Extra Space announced the dividend Nov. 5. Dec. 15 is the record date, with eligibility based on the company's shareholder records at the close of business.
The latest rate matches the $1.62-per-share distribution paid for the third quarter on Sept. 30. Sept. 15 was the record date for that earlier distribution.
As of Sept. 30, Extra Space’s portfolio comprised 4,411 self-storage properties, with 342.2 million rentable square feet and about 3 million units. The company is a real estate investment trust and a member of the S&P 500.
