The investigation of the Fire Brigade in the Nether continues in “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21. The mission leads to Shinra meeting Dr. Giovanni again, and the member of the White Clad will demonstrate some of his new fighting abilities.

Fire Brigade’s Company 8 has been called to join a mission with Company 2 to investigate the Nether. Based on the events in episode 20, it is possible that “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21 will feature the fight between Shinra and Giovanni.
During this fight, Giovanni will reveal that the abandoned lab and experiment that Takagi Oze previously found were staged to lure in the Fire Brigade. Unfortunately, the White Clad’s plan seemed to work and the Fire Brigade has already lost several people early on in the investigation.
However, it is also true that Giovanni has been doing some experiments to gain more advantage for the White Clad. If “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21 were to follow the events from the manga, Giovanni would brag about his progress of a particular experiment that fuses humans with bugs of Adolla.
His main goal is to bring his subjects close to Adolla, and it seems to be working. Giovanni will demonstrate how effective his experiments have been on himself. He will showcase some new fighting abilities in “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21, including an attack where he uses actual insect legs.
Giovanni develops giant insect legs after fusing himself with bugs of Adolla, while it may seem bizarre it could be an indication that his experiments have been infected making the White Clad an even bigger threat. Giovanni’s new abilities should not be downplayed in “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21. In the manga, he almost defeated Shinra if not for Arthur who appeared just in time to save him.

The official preview of “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21 shows another highlight that involves Takagi and Maki. The investigation mission puts Takagi and Hinawa in the same group. As they fight off a hoard of Infernals, Takagi wonders out loud if these are the kind of enemies Maki had to face when she left the Army.
Hinawa, however, surprises the older Oze when he answers by saying they even use Maki as a shield in their operations. “Fire Force” season 2 episode 21 will be released on Saturday, Nov. 21. Simulcast is available on official platforms including Crunchyroll, Funimation, and AnimeLab.
