Flavours Place, an online marketplace specializing in coffee, tea, cocoa, and spices directly from the producers, is allowing its users to purchase these products directly from the farms using bitcoin.
According to the official release, the online platform is a socially conscious business, which apart from selling coffee and tea, also cares for farmers and traders of these products.
Bitcoin used as a payment method will help Flavours Place business model to sell their products directly to customers without any middlemen. Due to this, farmers get the advantage of being paid a better price for their produce and they receive their earnings in full within an hour.
“A nice part of this work is the dissemination and use of Bitcoin between producers from all over the world. It is a hard work, most of the potential vendors don’t know about the Bitcoin. But we do not look for the easy way,” the release stated.
The website accepts payments in dollars, Euros as well as bitcoins. Customers can choose to pay using bitcoins after filling out the shipment details. Digital payment platform Coinbase is used for all bitcoin transactions.
Flavours Place sells large variety of coffees from Kenya, Peru, or Sumatra; aromatic teas in different flavours from Ceylon, China, or Japan; cocoa in different forms from Peru, Indonesia, or the Ivory Coast. It also sells different types of spices from Morocco, India, or Madagascar.
