“Food Wars” season 4 will finally premiere in a few days. But before that happens, one of the anime’s producers advised fans that Erina Nakiri is one of the characters to watch out for in the upcoming episodes. The so-called God’s Tongue will go through a major development as she responds to the challenges amid the Regiment de Cuisine.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 spoilers: Erina Nakiri’s character development will be exciting
It was established since the first season that Erina is one of the most important characters in the entire series, almost on the same level as Soma Yukihira. The latter episodes of season 3 revealed that she had to endure psychological torture from her father, Azami Nakiri, who is also the main antagonist in the current anime arc. It then makes sense why Erina will be at the center of the upcoming events in “Food Wars” season 4.
Producer Noriko Dohi told ComicBook at the Crunchyroll Expo last month that Erina’s duel in “Food Wars” season 4’s Rebels vs. Central Régiment de Cuisine offers some of the best scenes. The Regiment de Cuisine will have a total of five rounds, with the first one featured in season 3. The remainder of the competition will offer some of the main events in “Food Wars” season 4. Erina will not compete until the 4th Bout against Momo Akanegakubo, and she will team up with Soma for the two-man team 5th bout against Central’s Eishi Tsukasa and Rindo Kobayashi.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 release date
Erina became emotionally detached, even with her cousin Alice Nakiri, because of what her father did when she was a child. So Erina’s fight in the “Food Wars” season 4’s Regiment de Cuisine and the Rebels’ upcoming victory over the Central will allow her to move forward from her unpleasant experiences as a child. Her development also translates to taking on a much bigger responsibility for the Totsuki Culinary Academy in season 4.
After waiting for around a year, “Food Wars” season 4 is finally here. The first episode will premiere on Oct. 11 in Japan with a simulcast via Crunchyroll.
