After a long wait, “Food Wars” season 4 is finally going to premiere in less than two weeks from now. With that, anime fans should know by now where they can watch the “Fourth Plate” installment, especially those who are not in Japan and have access to the anime’s original broadcast program.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 release date: When and where to watch the ‘Fourth Plate’ premiere
Gone are the days when fans have been relentlessly asking when “Food Wars” season 4 will arrive. The exact release date of the “Fourth Plate” installment has been announced for a while now. Meanwhile, a recent announcement confirmed that fans outside Japan will not have to wait too long to watch the new episodes as they come out every week.
The premiere of “Food Wars” season 4 is listed as Friday, Oct. 11, at 24:30 in Japan Standard Time on local TV networks such as Tokyo MX and BS 11. The good news is Crunchyroll has confirmed a simulcast of the new episodes on its streaming platform. This is not a surprising announcement, though, considering that the series has garnered a huge fanbase since the first season of the anime came out.
Anime fans must take note that Crunchyroll is a paid streaming service. But viewers can watch the first two episodes of “Food Wars” season 4 by availing Crunchyroll’s free 14-day trial before signing up for its paid membership that costs $7.99 per month.
‘Food Wars’ season 4 spoilers: Soma and Erina save Totsuki from Azami
With less than two weeks left before the premiere of “Food Wars” season 4, fans might want to recall the events in season 3. Erina and Soma finally found a reason to work together after her father, Azami, hijacked the leadership of Totsuki Culinary Academy. Other platforms like Netflix are streaming the earlier installments of “Food Wars.”
Soma and Erina are part of the Rebels group currently fighting the Central – composed mainly of the Elite Ten Council – to get things back in order in Totsuki. Season 3 ended in quite an awkward point in the plot, but that also means “Food Wars” season 4 will start with action-packed cooking duels right away.
