Thanks to an information leak, players can now plan their strategy in joining “Fortnite” season 8. Here is when the events will commence, until when can players register, and when the entire season will conclude.
The start date of “Fortnite” season 8 is no longer a secret for several days now. It has already been confirmed to begin on Thursday, Feb. 28. A leaked information page through Fortnite Intel indicates that the events will exactly open at 4 a.m.
This means players wanting to get a headstart in “Fortnite” season 8 can register as early as 4 in the morning on Thursday. But those who are not that in a hurry, take note that signup is only available until Sunday, March 3, at 4 a.m. From there, players can enjoy “Fortnite” season 8’s events and rewards through Tuesday, May 7, at 8 p.m.
It will not cost anything to access the game. However, players who want to enter “Fortnite” season 8 in style can always purchase the Battle Pass worth 950 V-Bucks. It is the game's microtransaction currency that can be bought with real money.
“Fortnite” season 8 Battle Pass will cost about $10. But note that it does not include any item that will give players an advantage in the game such as high-powered weapons. The Battle Pass only allows players to collect cosmetic items of 100 tiers instantly.
Just like the previous seasons, the beginning of “Fortnite” season 8 was hinted by some weird activities in the environment. In the weeks leading to the start of “Fortnite” season 8, players noticed that cracks have suddenly appeared in the ground.
The Wailing Woods map has visibly gone through a speedy rotting phase that turned the lush green trees to brown and dying plants. This situation is expected to become worse as “Fortnite” season 8 begin. “Fortnite” is available on all major gaming consoles including Nintendo Switch, on PC, on iOS and select Android devices.
