Getting an “Xbox One S” can be a big commitment thanks to its rather high price tag, but thanks to a Labor Day offer by Best Buy, customers can now get one for free. All they have to do is buy a 55-inch, LG 4K TV, which should go well with the console’s 4K capability.
Right now, the 500GB version of the “Xbox One S” is worth $299, Ubergizmo reports. The LG TV is worth $799, which puts the deal at a $1,100 value once you take the price of the “S” into consideration. For anyone who wanted to get the console but couldn’t for one reason or another, and were also thinking about getting a 4K TV, this deal can almost be a considered a match made in heaven.
The “Slim” version of the Microsoft console was a surprise hit that defied the expectations of many analysts who were saying that it made no sense to release one with the “Project Scorpio” version coming out in 2017. The 2TB White version of the console quickly sold out after flying off the shelves, allowing the “Xbox One” to finally end the winning streak of the “PlayStation 4” in July.
For anyone wondering, the 500GB bundle that will come with the TV comes with a wireless controller, a “Halo 5: Guardians” disc and access to the digital download of the “Halo: Master Chief Collection.” The offer is only good until September 10th, so anyone who is interested in getting would do well to act fast.
This is great timing as Microsoft has just opened the Xbox Design Lab, Hardcore Gamer reports. The company is essentially allowing players to customize the look and feel of their Xbox controller, which can run up to a price of $79.99. For those who want laser engravings on their controller, they’ll have to pay more.
