Many fans are now thrilled for the upcoming release of “Frozen 2." The plot for the next movie, which focuses on Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Princess Anna (Kristen Bell), is still under wraps. But, there are speculations that the latter might debut her own powers in the forthcoming sequel.
Queen Elsa is also widely known as the “Ice Queen” for very obvious reasons. The first movie implied that she was born with the ability to turn things into ice with a power that seems to be coming off of her hands. However, how or why she was given this gift was not elaborated in the film. Could “Frozen 2” give further clarifications on the matter?
In a recent report, Screen Rant suggested that “Frozen 2” might reveal the origin of Queen Elsa’s power. The publication raised the possibility that the "Ice Queen" abilities could be a family thing.
The same report argued that Queen Elsa’s father, the late King of Arendelle (Maurice LaMarche), seems to absurdly know how to prevent her daughter from turning everything into ice. Everytime a young Elsa panics, he was quick to provide her with gloves. Thus, the theory is that it might have previously occurred in their family. However, fans will still have to wait for “Frozen 2” to confirm this speculation.
Meanwhile, if this turns out to be a correct assumption, then, there is a chance that Anna could have the same power as her sister. Some fans may argue that, even without this ability, the younger royal showed courage by volunteering to find her sister alone amid the harsh blizzard. Some might think this is quite far-fetched, but “Frozen 2” is a fantasy film and having two brave ice-wielding women could be a game changer.
As mentioned, there is few to no spoilers available yet for “Frozen 2.” One of the favorite topics among fans is Queen Elsa’s love interest, not that she needs it to bring out the best of her. But, moviegoers are rooting for her to find real love just like Anna did with Kristoff (Jonathan Groff). “Frozen 2” will premiere on Nov. 27.
