“Frozen 2” surely coming and in fact, its first official trailer was already released in February. The almost 2-minute clip garnered millions of views in just 24 hours since it was posted and this only shows that the anticipation for animated movie sequel is very high.
Filming for “Frozen 2” began in the last quarter of 2017 and it took more than two years to complete production. Prior to the release of the trailer, some of the main cast members - Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) and Kristen Bell (Anna) teased that the second installment in the movie franchise will not be “a typical sequel.” They said that it would present a storyline that really needs to be told and this seems to suggest that a mystery is set to be uncovered.
Plot
At any rate, based on the preview, Anna, Elsa and Kristoff have embarked on an adventure but where they are going and why is not clear. Other season like the fall was also highlighted, and some observers suggest that this may be either Elsa’s new enemy or an ally in her quest to something that is still unknown at this time.
Chris Buck, co-director in the movie, shared that the viewers will see a very different Elsa in “Frozen 2.” "In Frozen she had such a dramatic journey, and at the end, she's just starting to feel like she can open up and have some fun again," E! News quoted Buck as saying. "That's what was really good about the short 2015's “Frozen Fever” – we could have fun with Elsa. And that personality... you will see in the next one."
New Teaser
The preview showed a darker vibe in “Frozen 2,” and the guesses may be right after more teasers were revealed during the recent Disney+ event. This teaser is not yet available online, but CNET shared some notes on what was revealed.
The publication mentioned that there was a scene where Anna who is kneeling before Olaf said that she does not think that Elsa is OK. And a voice could be heard saying, "You must find the truth."
There was no explanation, but it seems to be hinting that Elsa is in danger or in distress. Also, the theories that Anna and Elsa are looking for or trying to uncover something also sound right due to the voice.
“Frozen 2” is set to premiere on Nov. 22 in the U.S. and U.K.
