Fundamentals to watch out for this week

In terms of volatility risks, this week is quite heavy especially in terms of events.

What to watch for over the coming days:

  • Central Banks:

Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) will announce interest rate decision on Tuesday. Bank of Canada (BoC) governor Poloz is set for a speech on Thursday.

  • Economic data:

Australia’s GDP report on Wednesday. Japan’s GDP on Thursday. China’s forex Reserve data on Thursday, and trade balance report on Friday. Canada unemployment report on Friday

  • Geopolitics:

U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Thursday ahead of his meeting with Kim on June 12th. G7 meeting on Friday.  

Along with the above fundamentals, unscheduled Brexit commentaries, happenings in the Middle East, Spain’s Catalonia, and Korean peninsula are likely to keep influencing the market.
