FxWirePro: GBP/USD slips as Middle East tensions boost safe-haven dollar

• GBP/USD dipped on Tuesday as escalating Middle East tensions boosted demand for the U.S. dollar.

• The U.S. military said it completed a new wave of strikes on Iran late Monday, targeting military command centers, missile and drone launch sites, maritime assets, and air defense systems.

• The latest round of U.S. strikes on Iran lasted about five hours, marking the 10th consecutive night of American attacks on Iranian targets.

• Britain's labour market showed signs of stabilising, with wage growth and unemployment steady through May and payrolled employment little changed in June.

• British annual wage growth held at 3.4% in the three months to May, in line with forecasts, while UK public borrowing fell to £16 billion in June.

•   Immediate resistance is located at 1.3504(50%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 1.3547(SMA 20)

•  Strong support is seen at 1.3355(38.2%fib) and break below could take the pair towards 1.3182(23.6%fib).

  Recommendation: Good to sell  around 1.3380, with stop loss of 1.3470 and target price of 1.3310
