HAMILTON, Bermuda, May 2, 2016 -- Golden Ocean Group Limited ("Golden Ocean" or "the Company") announces that it has filed an amendment to its annual report on Form 20-F for the year ended December 31, 2015 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the "SEC") in the U.S. solely to include a statement that the Company, as permitted by SEC rules and Bermuda law, has chosen to have an audit committee that consists of two members that currently meet NASDAQ independence requirements.
