'The Winds of Winter' Release Date: George R.R. Martin Hints 'TWOW' Isn't Arriving Anytime Soon

"Game of Thrones" writer George R.R. Martin teased his new book, but it is not "The Winds of Winter"- the new book is titled "Fire & Blood." Apart from revealing his new book, Martin revealed he was nearly killed by "Game of Thrones."

“Oh no, this thing nearly killed me and it's probably the most massive work that I'm capable of doing," "The Winds of Winter" author said.

Aftermath the triumph of "Game of Thrones," taking home the best drama award at Emmys, Martin announced he would debut his latest book in Jersey City. Sadly, it wasn't the anticipated title, "The Winds of Winter."

On Sept. 19, Saturday, Martin tweeted that he would be launching his book "Fire & Blood" with a talk hosted by Word Bookstores at Loew's Jersey Theatre on Nov. 19. The book "Fire & Blood," which is s being published before Martin's long-delayed "The Winds of Winter" is the first volume of a two-part history of House Targaryen. It is set centuries before the events depicted in the HBO series. The is told by a maester from the Citadel, and the story starts off with Aegon the Conqueror, creator of the famous Iron Throne. The new book will explain the origin of Daenerys' three dragon eggs. According to NJ, "Fire & Gold" contains more than 80 illustrations from Doug Wheatley.

Many book lovers are waiting for "The Winds of Winter" as it is the promised sixth installment in the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Meanwhile, the development of "Game of Thrones" has been moved past the events in Martin's books.

"The Winds of Winter" author will publish "Fire and Blood" on November 28. After the talk, which is set on Nov. 19, he will have a Q&A session after the talk. After that, he will be pre-signing copies of his book for the event, which are available for pre-order), and not personalizing copies. He will appear at Loew's Jersey Theatre in Jersey City (54 Journal Square Plaza) at 7:30 p.m.
