Redwood City, Calif., March 25, 2016 -- Informatica, the world’s number one independent software provider focused on delivering transformative innovation for the future of all things data, today announced that Gartner, Inc., a leading IT research and advisory firm, has positioned Informatica as a Leader in its 2016 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), Worldwide, based on ability to execute and completeness of vision.
The complete report, including the quadrant graphic, which was published on March 24, is available at https://informatica.com/ipaas-magic-quadrant.html.
The Gartner report stated, “For many, the reality of cloud is here,” and “application managers and directors of integration are being challenged to integrate hybrid application portfolios as well as provide easy access to the data within those systems.”
According to the report, “Integration platform as a service (iPaaS) is a cloud service that provides a platform to support application, data and process integration projects, usually involving a combination of cloud-based applications and data sources, APIs and on-premises systems.”
Gartner analysts wrote in the report that, “Other powerful drivers for enterprise iPaaS adoption will be mobile app integration and API publishing and management, which will create a growing overlap and convergence with API management and mobile back end as a service (MBaaS) offerings. We expect that iPaaS adoption will also be driven by IoT requirements (although at a later stage), which will determine some degree of functional overlap and create a demand for integration with emerging IoT platforms.”
“We believe that Informatica’s recognition by Gartner as a Leader in iPaaS is reflective of our iPaaS solution’s ability to deliver support for any integration pattern, any user and any data source on an intelligent platform that you can trust,” said Ronen Schwartz, senior vice president and general manager, Informatica Cloud, Informatica. “Informatica is able to bring unparalleled simplicity of deployment and fast time to market for solving complex integration scenarios ranging from SaaS integration to real-time process orchestration and IoT analytics, while also empowering a broad range of business and technical users with unique self-service capabilities to help them easily realize the value of their data.”
