Global Brands has announced the acquisition of Hooch, Hooper’s, and Reef alcohol brands from Molson Coors Beverage Company.
According to the Independent drinks firm, the acquisition will give them freedom to grow that aligns with their vision.
The brands, under license from Molson Coors, have been produced and distributed by Global Brands since 2012.
These will now form part of its owned portfolio.
According to Steve Perez, chairman and founder of Global Brands, the acquisition will give them the opportunity to invest further into the brands with the added security of owning the equity. He added that the deal will their position as the leading independent producer of RTD brands in the UK”.
Meanwhile, Nino Beneta, managing director of Molson Coors Export and License EMEA & APAC, said their focus will continue to be on select key international brands such as Coors, Staropramen, Carling, Madri Excepcional, and Blue Moon.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
