Live dealer casino game developer Evolution released a new variant of live roulette called Gold Bar Roulette Live at select casinos, with the full release scheduled for 27 July 2022. The game is a continuation of win multiplier roulette games, this time letting the player choose where to put the Gold Bar 88x win multiplier.

Why is Gold Bar Roulette so popular?
The game is showing an unprecedented number of Google searches ever since its limited release on 13 July, which makes us ask the question - why such popularity? The other recent roulette releases by the same developer haven't seen such numbers.
First of all, the game promises an upgrade to the repetitive game of roulette and, crucially, puts the power in the player's hands for the first time ever. It is the player who makes the choice at the roulette wheel for the first time in history of the game. A choice other than where to place the bet, that is. This time, the players also place win multipliers on the board.

The Twist
Other than the usual rules of European single-zero roulette, Gold Bar Roulette adds win multipliers in shape of Gold Bars.
Players win Gold Bars, each worth 88x, that they can place on straight-up numbers in future spins. These Gold Bars can only be won and used on straight-up bets, which are bets on single numbers. The downside is that the straight-up win payout is reduced from the standard 35:1 to 19:1.
To win Gold Bars, you must win your bet on a straight-up number. Each Bar is worth 88x, and you don't have to use them right away - you have 180 days for that. Multiple Bars can be placed on the same number, multiplying the win potential. Of course, to benefit from the Gold Bar, you must win the bet when the multiplier is in place.

The Future
Live gambling has seen an unprecedented growth recently all over the world, with Evolution as the trendsetter. It is games such as Gold Bar Roulette that raise the bar - pun intended - for all other software developers.
By looking at what Evolution is doing, we can see where live gambling is headed in general. Recent game releases include win multipliers very often, which means that this part has gained traction with the market, especially as it greatly enhances the otherwise repetitive games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Sic Bo. Win multipliers are now all over the place.
We can expect more games to include fun elements such as win multipliers that enhance the game's playability, and this is where most of the money will be turned over in online casinos, while the basic games will be left to the purists among us.
