Lot of economic dockets scheduled for today and some with high risks associated.

Data released so far

  • China - Retail sales rose 11.1% y/y in December. Industrial production growth dropped to 5.9% y/y and urban investments came at 10% growth. GDP grew 1.6% on quarterly basis and 6.8% from a year ago.

 Upcoming -  

  • Germany - HICP consumer inflation for December will be released at 7:00 GMT. Zew survey will be released 10:00 GMT.
     
  • Switzerland - Producer and import prices for December to be released at 8:15 GMT.
     
  • Euro Zone - November current account balance will be released at 9:00 GMT. CPI and construction output for December will be released at 10:00 GMT.
     
  • UK - inflation data, CPI, RPI, HPI, PPI all will be released at 9:30 GMT. BOE governor Carney is scheduled to speak at 11:00 GMT.
     
  • US - NAHB house price index will be released at 15:00 GMT, followed by treasury flows at 21 GMT.
     
  • New Zealand - Global dairy auction scheduled for today. Consumer price index for fourth quarter will be released at 21:45 GMT.
     
  • Australia - Westpac consumer confidence will be released at 23:30 GMT.
