- Australia - Wage price index rose 2.3% y/y in first quarter and 0.5% q/q.
- Japan - Eco watcher survey for current scenario improved to 53.6 in April from 52.2 prior and outlook improved to 54.2 from 53.4 prior.
Upcoming -
- China - China will release details on retail sales, industrial production and urban investments for month of April at 5:30 GMT.
- France - France will release first quarter GDP estimate at 5:30 GMT, followed by inflation details and payroll data at 6:45 GMT. Further weakening would pose challenge for finance ministry's plan to reduce deficit ratio through growth.
- Germany - Inflationary details along with preliminary first quarter GDP would be released at 6:00 GMT. Bund yields would focus mainly on inflation and slower growth would pose downward pressure on yields.
- Spain - Consumer inflation is due at 7:00 GMT. Euro will focus on inflationary statistics from Europe.
- Italy - Set to release GDP estimate at 8:00 GMT.
- Portugal - Portugal will release GDP estimate and consumer inflation today.
- UK - unemployment statistics to be released at 8:30 GMT, followed by quarterly inflation report and Governor Carney's Speech at 9:30 GMT. All are very crucial for pound's next move. Lastly RICS house price balance is scheduled at 23:00 GMT.
- Euro zone - GDP and Industrial production details to be released at 9:00 GMT.
- US - Lot of economic dockets from US. MBA mortgage application at 11:00 GMT, followed by retail sales at 12:30 GMT and terms of trade at 13:30 GMT. Data on business inventories to be released at 14:00 GMT. Crude stocks are scheduled at 14:30 GMT.
- New Zealand - Business PMI to be released at 22:30 GMT followed by 22:45 GMT.
- Japan - Japan will release foreign investment details at 23:50 GMT.
- Auction - US will auction 10 year note at 17:00 GMT. Vital to see what real money is paying for in rising yield environment.
