Hite Jinro Co. is set to export 1.2 million bottles of its popular lager beer brand Terra to Hong Kong this month and to the US and Singapore in the second half.
Sales of Terra will likely hit store shelves in the US and Singapore after mid-June.
Hite Jinro picked the three regions due to their awareness of South Korean alcohol and strong demand for Terra.
South Korea's second-largest beverage company will ramp up efforts to increase consumer interest in Korean beer products.
Terra lager beer sales have exceeded 1.65 billion bottles since its debut in March 2019.
HiteJinro is leaning on Terra to recapture the top position in the local beer market.
Terra is contributing much to the overall beer sales of HiteJinro, which soared by 12 percent from 2019 to 2020.
Hite Jinro's lineup of beer products includes its signature item Hite beer, South Korea's first all-malt, the Max beer, and FiLite, the country's first sparkling beer.
