‘Homeland’ season 6’s episode 4, titled "A Flash of Light," is set to follow Carrie as she continues to struggle with the Sekou case. She also meets with president-elect Keane in secret, where Keane will enlist her help.
The brief synopsis for “A Flash of Light” posted on Showtime reads, “Carrie (Claire Danes) handles her client. Saul's (Mandy Patinkin) trip takes a turn. Quinn (Rupert Friend) investigates.” Although details for the upcoming episode remain scarce, there is no doubt that Carrie continues to deal with her professional and personal life as best as she can.
The preceding episode, titled “The Covenant,” followed Carrie as she struggled with her client Sekou’s (J. Mallory McCree) case. Carrie was forced to give him the bad news that his plea offer was revoked due to her dealings with Saad. She then enlisted Roger’s (Ian Kahn) help to obtain a recording of a phone conversation between Saad and Conlin (Dominic Fumusa), which confirms the fact that Saad attempted to trap Sekou, who was innocent.
Meanwhile, Saul arrived in Abu Dhabi on a new assignment to confront Farhad Nafisi (Bernard White). According to the recap posted on The Guardian, Nafisi denied any covert involvement with North Korea giving out an alibi that he was only buying Russian anti-aircraft equipment during his travels. However, Saul remains skeptical and reports this to Dar (F. Murray Abraham), who tells President-elect Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) that Saul confirmed Iran's parallel nuclear program with some convincing evidence.
Carrie then visits Keane and refuses to believe Dar’s repot. Meanwhile, Saul leaves for the West Bank to meet with his sister. It seems that Saul’s trip will prove eventful in the next episode.
In the promo for episode 4, Carrie is seen meeting with Keane and White House Chief of Staff Rob Hemmis (Hill Harper) in secret. It seems that Keane will ask Carrie for help with regards to Dar. Carrie reveals that she is especially concerned for Saul as he will get caught in the crossfire with decisions made.
‘Homeland’ season 6’s episode 4, titled "A Flash of Light," is scheduled to air on Showtime on February 12, 2017. It was directed by Lesli Linka Glatter and written by Patrick Harbinson. It will be followed by episode 5, titled "Casus Belli," directed by Alex Graves and scheduled for February 19.
