If you are a businessman, an entrepreneur or an office manager, who travels a lot, it won't be too much to know some basic rules of business travelling. We've prepared a few tips, which will help you to become an efficient traveller for the next trip.
As an example, we’re going to present Ukraine as the final destination of your trip.
So, let’s get started.
Before jumping on a flight, you need to choose a ticket. Go to the Internet and look for available flights and seats. If the price doesn’t matter, google “New York to Ukraine flights” and pick a preferable city to arrive in. But if the price is an important element in your trip, be more concrete. Find out which city is cheaper to arrive at and what kinds of vehicle from the airport are less pricey. The most affordable flight to Ukraine will be New York – Odessa. And the most expensive will be New York – Chernivtsi. We’re talking about economy flights only.
Since you have a ticket, you can start preparing for the trip itself.
Tips To Organize Your Business Travel Wisely
- Business cards. Before anything else, put a set of business cards into your suitcase. A real professional should always carry a few business cards with him. If it is possible, have different sets of business cards everywhere – in your car, bag, suitcase, jacket, at the office, etc. Thus, you will always be ready to any business meeting or business trip.
- Extra phone chargers. You don’t want to run out of batteries on your phone in the middle of an important conversation or after arriving in a new country.
- Airline apps. Find out if the airline, which you travel to Ukraine with, has an app for your phone. This way, you will be the first person to know about possible delays or adverse weather conditions in Ukraine.
- Search for the information. Search on the Internet what places like restaurants and cafes you can go to after arriving in Ukraine. Write down this information into your phone. It will help you not only to explain to a taxi driver where you need to go but also will save you a lot of time. Or take care of a private driver before going on a trip. Hire somebody to meet you at the airport and follow you to the hotel or a meeting point. Ask your company or somebody from the Ukrainian side to help you with this issue.
- Download a map. It is always better to have a map of the city you are going to visit downloaded on your phone. Don’t rely on WiFi only. For example, not all territory of Ukraine provides stable and free WiFi. So, be ready to go for a search for a good WiFi signal. Download a country map, a city map, and point the most central parts, so you can easily get the bump of locality.
