Huawei’s tri-fold device, codenamed ‘Iceland,’ may hit the market next month, offering a formidable challenge to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 series.
Huawei’s Tri-Fold ‘Iceland’ Enters Testing
Codenamed "Iceland," the Huawei tri-fold has been the subject of rumors recently. Finally, after a whole year of development, the phone appears to be ready for internal testing. Next month, the business may reveal the much-anticipated product.
The Huawei trifold has been dubbed "Iceland," as pointed out by Weibo tipster @FixedFocus (via HuaweiCentral). He also mentions that the device has begun its internal testing at the corporation. The tech behemoth may introduce the triple foldable next month after a few pre-launch inspections and tests.
According to the source, the introduction of the iPhone 16 series is also scheduled for next month. In September, Apple might introduce its newest line of iPhones.
iPhone 16 and Huawei ‘Iceland’ to Launch in September
It appears that next month, shoppers might watch a spectacular clash between Apple and Huawei. However, the Chinese tech behemoth may unveil a revolutionary triple-screen device to compete with the iPhone 16 series devices rather than the Mate 70 series.
Disputes between Apple and Huawei over their respective flagship smartphones later this year made headlines. Problems in adapting HarmonyOS NEXT and manufacturing Kirin chips, among others, may push back the launch of the Mate 70 series until December.
The release dates of Huawei's and Apple's new gadgets are yet unknown. The aforementioned items might be released within the next month if past leaks are to be believed.
Huawei’s Tri-Fold May Have Limited Availability
Initial reports indicated that just a small number of the triple-foldable phone would be manufactured. Consumers will be pleasantly surprised by the big changes, but they may be let down by the exorbitant prices. Despite this, Huawei is actively looking into new avenues that might drastically cut costs.
