Hyundai Elevator debuts MIRI, an AI-driven elevator maintenance service utilizing IoT, big data, cloud, and robotics. The innovative service, launched at an event at the company's headquarters, promises to reduce mechanical downtime by an impressive 43%, enhancing customer convenience and service speed.
As per The Korea Times, Hyundai Elevator organized an event to launch the new elevator maintenance service. It was held at the company's headquarters located in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province.
The elevator manufacturer put its new state-of-the-art technology out on display during the affair. Its 400 corporate executives and employees, including chief executive officer Cho Jae Cheon and Hyundai Group's chairwoman, Hyun Jeong Eun, have all seen the MIRI firsthand.
In her congratulatory message, Hyundai's chairwoman said, "'MIRI,' which combines future technology, is an example of the elevator industry's digital transformation that upgrades service speed and customer convenience to the next level. It will play an important role in the company's future global strategies."
The MIRI features the latest technology, like AI, and it is capable of lessening the downtime caused by mechanical failure. Hyundai Elevator that the rate of reduction is about 43% compared to older models.
The technology offers various functions, such as measuring the life of the elevators' parts and detecting defects. It can also classify the required service, equipped with a pre-failure detection alarm service and IoT gateway dedicated to the elevator. It can reduce response time in case of malfunctions since the advanced maintenance service immediately notifies the engineers, complete with details if the elevator fails to work.
Finally, The Korea Herald mentioned that "Miri" means" in advance" in Korean, and it was used to reflect Hyundai Elevator's commitment to giving the best service satisfaction to customers. The firm's MIRI elevator also has a remote call system called "MIRI Call," which is directly linked to AI systems like Bixby and Siri. This feature offers customer convenience as people can call the elevator in advance if they need to use it in their apartments.
