SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., Dec. 04, 2017 -- Image Protect Inc. (OTC PINK:IMTL) (imageprotect.com) (the "Company"), the global leader in end-to-end copyright software, points to a dramatic increase in the number of outstanding and active digital image copyright infringement cases currently seeking settlement, with over 2,000 cases out for settlement internationally, and in excess of 1,500 cases out for settlement domestically. Management notes this should translate directly into increased monetization for the Company over the near term.
The Company has developed a proprietary technology solution to enable the identification of illicit instances on the internet of protected imagery under its care. Due to Image Protect’s dramatic year-over-year growth in clientele, images now under the protection of the Company have soared, and cases now in due process because of its direct impact have grown from Beta levels in 2015 into the thousands today.
Chief Operating Officer, Jonathan Thomas, stated, “'Cases out for Settlement' has always been a bellwether indicator for the Company’s future top-line growth. With such a dramatic increase in the number of cases out for settlement as we close the year, we can predict 2018 will almost certainly be a breakout record year for the Company in terms of total sales.”
According to a recent comprehensive industry report from ResearchNReports, the U.S. Digital Rights Management ("DRM") market is expected to show enormous sustainable growth over coming years. In terms of total sales, the U.S. market stood at $291.5 million in 2016 and is anticipated to reach just shy of $1.5 billion by 2025, which represents a massive CAGR of 19.9% over the forecast period.
Management notes that these forecasts don’t tell the entire story given the Company’s recent expansion into the European market, where growth is expected to run around 19.5% over the same period, vaulting total European market size for digital rights management to an impressive $1.5 billion by 2025.
This data is even exceeded by other recent research on the space. MarketsandMarkets independently estimates the overall DRM market is set to grow from roughly $1.1 billion in 2015 to 2.9 billion by 2020, at a CAGR of 22.1% over the forecast period.
