Sales of imported commercial vehicles in South Korea rose 15 percent to 436 units last month from 379 the year before, according to the Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association (KAIDA).
The increased demand for tractors, dump trucks, and special-purpose trucks boosted the number.
However, KAIDA sees no sharp recovery in commercial vehicle demand due to the prolonged pandemic.
Imported commercial vehicles account for a huge share of South Korea's domestic commercial vehicle market.
Among imported vehicle brands selling trucks, buses and vans in South Korea are MAN, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Trucks, Scania, and Iveco.
