CBS News reported that high gas prices and affordability issues are affecting U.S. midterm voters as economic effects of the Iran war weigh heavily on many voters.

CBS also described President Donald Trump’s messaging on Iran ahead of the midterm elections as mixed.

A Pew Research Center survey of 5,062 U.S. adults from Sept. 28 to Oct. 4 found that 73% were greatly concerned about war-related increases in gas and fuel costs. Another 71% were greatly concerned about the possibility of U.S. troops being wounded or killed, according to earlier coverage of war-related fuel and troop concerns.
