Taco Bell fans have been complaining that the limited-run Nacho Fries weren't available at some locations despite the item having just returned on its menu on March 10.
The Tex-Mex chain's lightly-spiced Nacho Fries were well-received by fans when it was introduced in 2018, proving it to be among its most popular new items ever.
The Nacho Fries have since disappeared and returned several times from Taco Bell's menu.
But recently, there were online speculations that Taco Bell is struggling to keep its Nacho Fries in stock in its latest return.
Numerous people have been reporting in the 30,000-subscriber-strong Living Mas about visiting locations that are out of Nacho Fries.
One Redditor commented that three of five locations he visited have been out of fries for at least a week.
One user reported that his local Taco Bell ran out due to a warehouse shortage, while a verified employee listed as Stubby_Pablo revealed there is a supply chain shortage and that the chain is talking about limiting nacho fries per order in his area.
A Taco Bell representative admitted to Food & Wine via email that was temporary shortages at select locations that have been quickly resolved, assuring that there are still plenty of Nacho Fries to go around.
The representative added that they are partnering with Grubhub to offer free fries on a minimum purchase of $15 purchase until April 13.
