SAN FRANCISCO, June 29, 2017 -- JLT Specialty USA, a U.S. subsidiary of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc. (JLT), one of the world’s leading specialty-focused providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Schaeffer as Senior Vice President.
Schaeffer comes to JLT with extensive experience serving as a trusted advisor to CFOs, General Counsels and Treasurers regarding corporate risk transfer solutions primarily for technology, biotechnology, fintech and financial services firms.
Based in San Francisco, Schaeffer will focus on business development with specialities in technology, fintech and private equity. Schaeffer joins JLT from Aon plc, where as a Senior Vice President she was responsible for cultivating relationships with new clients and advising on a broad range of risk transfer solutions for high-growth pre-IPO and Fortune 500 companies.
Prior to Aon, Schaeffer was with Wells Fargo Insurance Services where she focused on managing and negotiating Executive Liability insurance programs for pre-IPO and publicly traded technology and biotech companies. Schaeffer began her career at NASDAQ managing Executive Liability programs for Bay Area technology companies and went on to lead NASDAQ’s Nordic insurance operations based in Stockholm, Sweden.
