It has been over a year since the final “Fifty Shades” film that starred Jamie Dornan, and Dakota Johnson was released in theaters. The actors are both most famously known for their roles in the said movie series, but they have since been doing remarkable jobs in the succeeding movies they have been in.
A couple of movies came out this year starring Johnson. In January, the psychological horror film “Wounds” premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah and is now available on Netflix. Dornan’s former co-star plays the role of Carrie, the live-in partner of main protagonist Will (Armie Hammer) who wants to go after another woman named Alicia (Zazie Beetz). Johnson also stars in another movie “The Peanut Butter Falcon” along with Shia Lebouf. The movie first premiered on March 9 at South by Southwest. It is slated to be released in theaters in the United States starting on Aug. 9.
Meanwhile, Johnson is currently facing a slew of rumors as various reports claim that she and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin already broke up. A source told Express that Johnson and Martin have very different opinions on the matter of settling down. “Chris made it clear he wants more kids as soon as possible but Dakota's career has really taken off and that's the last thing she wanted to think about right away,” the insider added. Johnson and Martin have been mum about their relationship, and they might maintain that silence despite the spread of these rumors.
The other half of the “Fifty Shades” series, Dornan, also has a list of movie projects coming up starting in 2020. He is one of the new voice cast members of the upcoming “Trolls World Tour.” He is going to play the role of Chaz, who is reportedly an expert on “smooth jazz” music. The actor once said that he and Johnson are unlikely going to join another movie project like “Fifty Shades” that had “much attention and scrutiny and public opinion directed at it.”
