'Jane the Virgin' Season 2 Spoilers: So who will Jane choose?

The second half of Season 2 of the hit comedy series “Jane the Virgin” starts airing on January 25. The show left off with Jane Gloriana Villanueva (played by Gina Rodriguez) still undecided on whom among Michael Cordero (Brett Dier) and Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) she would tie the knot with.

In the early episodes, Jane concentrated on finding her footing as a new mother and a grad student. This left her with little time or energy to think about romance. Later, she admitted that she is in love with both Michael and Rafael. This caused a heated competition between the two men, fuelled by their hatred for each other, and their disappointment from Jane’s statement.

Before Season 2 started “Jane then Virgin” creator Jennie Urman confirmed that Jane will be getting married. But after eight episodes the identity of her groom is still a mystery, and Jane seems no closer to making a final decision.

However, Jane's problems will not be the only focus for the episodes to come. The premiere of season 2 showed Jane's grandmother Liliana De La Vega (Rita Moreno) revealing some shocking news about Jane's grandfather. It was stated that Jane's father, Rogelio (Jaime Camil), will also deal with issues regarding his parents.

In addition, Petra (Yael Grobglas) will also have some issues of her own regarding her pregnancy. Urman reassured fans that Petra will be giving birth later into the season.

Urman neglected to reveal whether Professor Chavez (recurring guest star Adam Rodriguez) could end up as Jane's new love interest.

"All I'll say is that their relationship develops," she said.

A preview video, however, shows Jane and the professor getting hot and steamy in his office.

Season 2, Episode 9 of "Jane the Virgin," "Chapter Thirty-One," will premiere on Monday, Jan. 25 on The CW.
