Jennifer Garner's continued involvement with former husband Ben Affleck may be baffling the fans of the “Peppermint” star. In a report by Us Weekly, the publication noted that Jennifer Garner was particularly bubbly during the Aug. 28 Los Angeles premiere of the actress's new movie, “Peppermint.” The 46-year-old actress danced with her 11-year-old co-star Cailey Fleming.
The actress was reported to have enjoyed the rest of the evening in a particularly good mood despite the past weeks' stressful incident involving Ben Affleck. The publication added that a source had shared that Garner was quite content being single and being able to spend time with her children rather than looking for a new partner or relationship post-Affleck marriage.
Jennifer Garner's recent Ben Affleck episode involved her driving the “Batman” star to a rehabilitation center in Malibu California from Affleck's Brentwood, California home. Affleck's relapse into alcohol addiction came a few weeks after his breakup with “Saturday Night Live” producer Lindsay Shookus.
Despite Jennifer Garner coming to Ben Affleck's rescue, fans shouldn't be expecting Garner and Affleck to get back together anytime soon. While Jennifer Garner may seem particularly loyal by being there for her former husband's breakdown, Garner's intervention can be understood within the context of Garner's loyalty to her and Affleck's children. Fans will do well to remember that both Affleck and Garner made a divorce promise that they would still do their best to co-parent their children.
For those wondering why Garner and Affleck have yet to finalize their divorce, TMZ reports that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck will finalize the end of their marriage after Ben Affleck leaves the rehabilitation center. The publication mentions that Affleck's sobriety is important to Jennifer Garner to ensure that their children are safe whenever they spend time with their father.
